Individual Therapy

A multi-story brick building with fire escape ladders and windows. Large white mural on the side of the building reads, 'HOW ARE YOU, REALLY?' in black letters.

Some people come to therapy after spending years, or even decades, trying to manage on their own. Others reach out to me after past therapy focused mostly on coping skills, and now they want to understand the roots of what they’re struggles and why they feel the way that they do.

I love working with people who are new to therapy as well as those who want to go deeper in their personal growth. While those I work with come from a wide range of backgrounds, common themes among people I support are struggling with complex trauma (CPTSD), dissociation and dissociative disorders, relationship challenges, family issues, identity questions, eating disorders, and anxiety or overthinking. I also often work with young adults who identify as neurodiverse.

Training & Background

I’ve completed several years of advanced training in relational psychoanalytic therapy at the William Alanson White Institute, where I am currently continuing my studies. To complement the analytic work I do, I’ve completed additional training in exposure-based therapies for anxiety and OCD.

My Approach

My approach is collaborative, relational, and compassionate. I prioritize building a trusting, honest relationship in which we can explore your experiences and use what unfolds between us in therapy to gain a deeper understanding of how you relate to others and yourself. Over time, the therapeutic relationship offers a unique place to recognize and gently shift longstanding patterns. Through understanding the relationships and experiences that shape you, as well as in-the-moment experiential work, you’ll begin to feel a lessening of painful symptoms and find new ways of being in your own life that feel freer and more authentic to you.

Logistics

I meet with people 1-3x weekly in person, online, or in an agreed-upon hybrid format. Individual sessions are $260 for 45 minutes. I can either provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement or submit out-of-network claims on your behalf. When I’m able, I offer sliding scale slots based on financial need - if cost feels prohibitive, please reach out so we can discuss a fee that is doable for you. You can check your out-of-network benefits for free here.
