Depth-oriented and compassionate psychotherapy that supports lasting change

Therapy that moves beyond coping towards self-trust, clarity, and authenticity

I'd love to hear from you

Hi! I’m glad you’re here

I’m Taylor (she/her), a licensed therapist who works with teens, adults, and couples navigating complicated family dynamics, complex trauma, eating disorders and disordered eating, and burnout and perfectionism. I have advanced training in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples and relational psychoanalytic therapy across the lifespan.

While there’s a range of concerns one seeks therapy for, ultimately, I believe people come to learn that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with them. This doesn’t mean there we don’t experience real pain or struggle. Rather, much of our suffering comes from the ways we’ve learned to protect ourselves and the stories we’ve internalized about who we are in the world. These protective mechanisms can, over time, begin to impede our growth and connection to ourselves and others, and because hurts happen in relationship to others, they’re only healed in a supportive, honest, and consistent relationship. The way I work generally stems from these ideas.

My Approach

  • Scenic landscape with mountains and lake with green water under cloudy sky.

    Psychodynamic

I believe that our early relationships and experiences inform our current ways of being in the world. Together, we’ll work to untangle your past and present and help you truly get to know yourself - all of you. Especially parts of you that continue to carry hurt, anger, and shame.

  • Snow-capped mountains with a modern house on grassy hills

    Relational

Therapy is, at its core, a relationship. We’ll use our therapeutic relationship as a window into other relationships in your life, and the relationship you have with yourself. Those I work with have expressed that they appreciate I’m not a “blank slate” - I’m an engaged, real person in the room.

  • Modern wooden cabin with large window, set in a mountainous landscape

    Trauma-informed

We will move at a pace that is appropriate to you, acknowledge how life circumstances and broader systems have impacted you, and over time help you regain a sense of safety and agency. I believe you - even if others have not, and even if you might not yet believe yourself.

"It is bad enough that you were robbed of your childhood—it is unacceptable to also lose your opportunity to live in the present."
